Canon India has introduced the latest of their enthusiast “G” Series – the PowerShot G16 in India. The PowerShot features an all-new DIGIC 6 processor coupled with a new 12.1MP High Sensitivity CMOS sensor, giving it unprecedented speed, and image quality, as well as the ability to shoot Full HD1080p video at 60p.
Its high speed AF greatly improves focus speed by shooting 12.2fps continuous shooting in (at) full resolution and 5.7 fps with AF. Useful features like built-in Wi-Fi, artistic HDR Scene Mode, as well as a bunch of star shooting modes designed better capture the brilliance of the night sky, make the G16 a highly useful tool for newcomers and enthusiasts alike.
PowerShot G16 takes imaging to the next level by improving on existing creative filters. Featuring the new Background Defocus feature, the cameras can produce the “bokeh” effect.
It does this by taking two photos, and the two images are then analyzed and the background is digitally blurred according to user-desired levels.
The PowerShot G16 is priced at INR 34,995/- and is available at all the retail outlets including Canon Image Squares.
